Emilie Luiza Borda
COLUMBIA — Emilie Luiza Borda of Columbia died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at her home. She was 83.
Ms. Borda attended Elmhurst Academy, a Catholic school, in Providence, R.I., until she was 21. She lived in New York, Rhode Island, Arizona, Florida and Missouri and traveled to many different countries throughout her life.
Ms. Borda was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia and enjoyed cooking, needlework, music and conversation.
She is survived by her cousins, the Bell family in Missouri and Virginia Scott of Spartanburg, S. C.; and her good friend, Sister Gertrude Donnelly of Cumberland, R.I.
Two brothers, William Wenceslao and Joseph Wenceslao Borda, died earlier.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 5 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 N. 49th St., St. Petersburg, FL 33709.
